Atlantic Series 2017
This year we will be holding 5 one day 100 target Championship shoots.
All Shoots will be NSCA registered.
Simply your broken clay score will be used, with no conversion to a points system.
Each individual shoot will have HOA winner and Class winners as per the NSCA rules
Your best 4 scores out of 5 will be used to determine the overall Champion and Class winners. In the event of a draw for Champion or Class your 5th score will be used as a tie breaker.
Atlantic Series & The NSCA
The addition of the NSCA to our series enables us to use their classification of shooters to recognize the achievements of all of our shooters, not just our high achievers.
By having your own class you can shoot to win that class against shooters of a similar skill level. This makes it much less daunting to our beginners and also encourages our other shooters to increase their skills and move up in classes as they do. Winning your class earns you punches and with enough punches you will move up to a more challenging class.
All our shoots and all other NSCA registered shoots have a "Hunter" class in which non NSCA members can shoot, however you will be missing out on the benefit and rewards of class shooting. You can still win High Over All, Runner Up and the Hunter Class itself but you will be shooting against all people of every skill and age that are in Hunter class with you.
The classes within the NSCA are E,D,C,B,A,AA,Master. Traditionally all new members start in E class. Those shooters with known experience can ask to be moved up to a more realistic class that matches their abilities, to avoid them dominating a class and ruining the experience for the people of that lower class. In the Atlantic region all current members were given the option to start in E,D,C,B or A to give some initial separation. Opposite is a link to a sheet of the current members and their current declared class, we ask that all current members check this list to see that the class they are assigned is correct and fair before we start this season of shooting. Any of you who missed out on joining last year can still get a free one year membership by talking to our NSCA Representative George McAuley who will also help you with picking the best class for you to start in or changing your current declared class. If your already an NSCA member please don't forget to renew your membership on the NSCA website or at your club.
Because Shooting With Your Buddies Is Best!
